I spent over a decade behind the barber's chair in Puerto Rico. In that time I watched hundreds of men walk in with their hats pulled low — hiding something they were ashamed of. Powders, dyes, patches grown longer on one side. All of that energy, every day, just managing a problem that had a real solution.

That observation led me to get certified in scalp micropigmentation. My first client was someone I'd watched struggle for over a year. After his first session — kept light, kept natural, following the hairline he was always supposed to have — he looked in the mirror and I caught his reaction on video.
